Jaivon Grant is a communications professional, strategist, and former journalist. He possesses in-depth knowledge about California politics including federal, state, and local issues. At Alexi, Jaivon is in charge of managing social media and digital strategy for clients and has a penchant for outside-the-box thinking. 

Prior to joining Alexi, Jaivon worked as a reporter for three major Black news organizations—the Los Angeles Wave, Our Weekly Newspapers, and California Black Media (CBM). His beat included City Hall, education issues, and the California State Legislature. He has also provided in-depth political commentary for publication in major newspapers. 

His other professional experience includes working as a principal publications analyst for Northrop Grumman, where he reviewed large proposals and policy documents that were distributed to thousands of employees across multiple departments. Jaivon also served a stint as a media consultant for MBA Public Affairs based out of Sacramento. 

Jaivon is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and in his spare time he enjoys salsa dancing and competitive gaming.
