Micah Grant is a sought-after veteran communications professional and campaign strategist who has led successful state and local public affairs campaigns. He has consulted on winning campaigns for elected office and has earned a reputation as an efficient operator and master practitioner within the communications industry.

Micah’s professional experience includes serving as a vice president at Mercury Public Affairs, a leading multi-national public affairs firm. While at Mercury, he led communications strategy for a diverse array of clients including government agencies, large corporations, and political figures. He also served as on-the-record spokesman and go-to consultant for crisis mitigation.

Prior to Mercury, Micah worked in both houses of the California State Legislature as a communications consultant and as a press secretary for former Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff.  Micah also served as Deputy Communications Director for the California Republican Party and as Press Secretary for former Board of Equalization Chair George Runner.

Currently, Micah sits on the board of California Black Media (CBM) where he serves as interim chair and directs organizational communication, strategic planning, and implementation of various initiatives. In 2016, Micah successfully ran for a seat on the Natomas Unified School District Board of Trustees. He was successfully re-elected in 2020, with his campaign receiving the most votes in Natomas Unified School District history. 

Micah is a graduate of the University of California, Davis with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies and holds a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on marketing from the University of Phoenix. Micah, his wife, Janae, and their daughter, London, live in Natomas. Together, they enjoy reading, exercising, and gaming.
